Hi, Anna. My target client would be in a woman’s support group and health groups. Typically, they do not allow solicitation. I’ve thought about posting my information at wellness centers and health food stores, but either there is no community board, or there are a lot of competitors who remove my cards and put up their own. How does one get around this? I am a Massage Therapist. I have also tried using Facebook ads, a website, flyers, and more. I should mention that I’m an introvert. People love my work, and before I moved I was getting some regulars, but not enough referrals to thrive. It’s possible that I didn’t feel like I could wait as long as the time usually required to build a new practice (especially being in an area that was saturated with MTs). Still, I wonder how I can address the challenges I’ve mentioned.

Thank you for your help.

Thanks for your comment Naomi! I am an introvert so I totally understand! I would start reaching out to people to connect with them one on one. It’s much easier for us introverts to meet with one person. So maybe like a chiropractor or doctor in the area? I would go to events that sound interesting to you in the area and just start talking to people. The more you do it, the easier it will be. Facebook ads could definitely be beneficial as well since you can target local people and provide a discount. Have you ever thought of doing a groupon?
