  1. Carla says:

I use LinkedIn to stay connected with former colleagues and to also network with others for potential career moves. I also join professional groups to stay current on any new trends and topics.

  2. Hi Anna,
I used LinkedIn to connect with a few people I met networking. A week after meeting one man, I reached out over LinkedIn to inquire if he knew about any openings in my town, I was unemployed at the time. He looked over my LinkedIn profile, thank goodness I was keeping it up to date, and put me in touch with my current CEO! They started me off as an intern because I’m still in school, and now I’m the only part-time employee at the company. They plan on hiring me full-time right out of school!

  3. Ann Davison says:

I’ve found some of my firm’s best young talent via Linked In searches…and (fingers crossed) am about to land a great client who found us via Linked In! I’ve also used it to network for non-profit boards I’m associated with and to find freelancers. I’m leading a professional development course on how to maximize this great online networking tool in a couple weeks. Also a fan of Classy Career Girl, who I discovered via Pinterest – my total guilty pleasure.

  4. I’m building up my Linkedin profile and networking skills, and would love a copy! Just wish it was open to Canadian residents too.

  5. Lasha says:

I have you used LinkedIn to network by connecting with classmates from my college and building a strong relationship with them and helping them with their internship search. Also, I always send them great career articles to help them with building their personal brand and expanding their professional development.

Thank you very much for your wonderful giveaway. Your website has been extremely helpful to me and your career posts are very insightful and inspiring. Thanks to you, I am always learning how to take the right actions steps to be a proactive young professional today!!

Have a wonderful day and a great holiday weekend!

  6. Linda Gardner says:

I use LinkedIn’s Recruiter tool daily as a talent acquisition professional. It is my go to way to source the best talent around for hard to fill positions.

  7. Lisa Fredin says:

I mostly use LinkedIn to keep in touch of old colleges. I really like that it gives me a good way to separate my personal contacts (facebook) from business contacts. Recently I got a message from a recruiter for a job that actually sounded interesting. Although I didn’t take the offer it was really great to talk to a recruiter for my field for a little while. I learned a lot about what the current state of the industry is and what the going rate for industry jobs are.

  8. Sara Wells says:

I have used LinkedIn for networking – specifically to reconnect with old co-workers who could serve as references/resources in future job searches.

  9. I am still in the process of figuring out all the amazing things that LinkedIn has to offer for my job search and career development. I am using it to connect with people in the health care industry to get my name out there and show all the things that I have to offer. So far the only things I have had come out of it are meeting alumni from my school as well as connecting with other people who are starting out their health care management careers as well.
