One of the reasons I love my job is I get to work with ambitious women. Sarah is one of the most determined women I have ever worked with. She had many interviews and heard a lot of “No’s” on her journey to her dream career.

The best part is that she never gave up, never settled and now has her dream career!

I Love My Career Case Study- Sarah: “I Got a Job Offer Today!”

Tell us about the career you love!

I actually got a job offer today for a full-time job! I’m so relieved. I am so excited. I am a Sourcing Coordinator with JoAnn Fabrics outside of Cleveland.

I’ll be working with actual products that I am excited about, especially since one of my hobbies is crafting and sewing. I want to get into making cute and trendy clothes on my own as a hobby so I’ll be able to work with some of the products that I could be using for my own leisure times, too. So it’s exciting to me and I will get a lot more experience with working internationally, too.

Were there moments of fear and doubt?

Everyone told me to be patient and it was very hard for me while I was in the process, but I knew I had to be patient. Sometimes I was down in the dumps but I knew I couldn’t give up and I wasn’t going to let that control me and here I am finally with a full-time job offer.

What helped you get over the fear and doubt?

Just keep going. If they don’t give you that offer, something better will come along. You’ve got to persevere and act like it doesn’t matter if you don’t get an offer because you’re going to find something better and it’s their loss.

So it’s pretty much like building yourself up and making sure that you have the confidence and the motivation to continue on. Your time will come.

This whole process has helped me find my dream job and now I am figuring out my ultimate goal is building up my clientele giving wardrobe consulting because I have found what is fun for me now. I am so relieved I finally have a full-time job offer and job hunting is over. Thank you, Anna!
