If you have been following along in this series, you should have already scheduled your sacred time on your calendar. Sacred time always comes first and is the most important. Sacred time is why you are on this planet and shows you what your purpose is. Sacred time gives you the energy and mindset to live your fullest potential and show up at your best for your focus and admin time. Sacred time is my big why.

Today you are going to learn how to focus and batch your most important activities. Remember, you don’t need a lot of time when you are executing your schedule this way. This isn’t about working more. It’s about working on the right things at the right time and feeling organized and focused, not overwhelmed.

In this episode: How To Feel Empowered and Focused As a Business Owner

  • The most important questions to ask yourself to identify what time of day you should be working on your goals and when you should be doing administrative items.
  • How to focus on the most important activities so you can make sure that you reach your goals
  • My new experiment that helps me not get overwhelmed with all of the tasks that I juggle as a CEO.
  • How I execute the roles in my business and what days I work on each task.
  • Behind the scenes of how I work on my tasks and stay organized to reach my business goals.
  • How I batch and schedule my social media posts without a social media manager

The Top Two Questions To Ask Yourself For More Focus from this podcast episode:

1. What time of day works best for you?

Ask yourself, when do you have the most energy? When are you the most awake? When are you the most excited to work on your business? I used to work in morning, now I work in the afternoons since my schedule and life has changed so much.

2. What activities are the most important for reaching your goals?

Look at your list of administrative and focus activities. What blocks do you want to make? For my focus time, I have sales call time, coaching time, writing and creating/podcast time.

For my administrative time, I have email management, team management and social media management.

After you categorize your time, you’ll want to batch similar activities together. You will get more done faster this way.

For example, I don’t check and respond to emails all throughout the day. I have one time per week where I respond to emails. Same with social media, I have one hour blocked in my calendar on Mondays to create social media content and schedule social media and respond to comments. This will save you so much time and allow you to focus.

Now that you’ve categorized the activities. Certain days you do certain things. You put on a timer and go.

The Key: Instead of letting ALL of the tasks stress you out, create the roles for your business and a checklist for each role. Then, batch the tasks associated with that role.
