5 Active Jobs That Will Keep You Fit
Are you one of those people who can’t sit still?  Does the thought of sitting behind a computer for 8 hours a day make you break out in a cold sweat? Don’t worry if you haven’t found your calling yet as there are plenty of active jobs available.
Many jobs include an element of physical activity. Here’s our list of active jobs to try.

5 Active Jobs That Will Keep You Fit

1. Start Catering

We love this option because it is both creative and active. Fair warning, though, you may be on your feet for up to 12 hours a day. Jobs like this in the catering industry can also include lifting and other manual labor. This is a great job for your if you love cooking, recipes and pinning pictures of great food presentations all day long on Pinterest. And you’ll stay fit as a caterer as long as you don’t eat too much of the food you prepare!

2. Teach a Sport

We love teaching here at CCG and if you know how to do something and have mastered a sport or skill, someone else might want to learn too. You could be a personal trainer and demonstrate an exercise to a client. Even though you may not be involved in the activity in the same way, while instructing it instead of doing it, it is crucial to be trained to the required levels. We love this non-desk opportunity because you can live where it inspires you because almost all locations need people to help teach the sport you love. Love to ski? Move to the Canadian mountains.  Potential ski instructors can look into a Canada ski instructor course. Or want to become a yoga instructor? Yes please!

3. Serve in the Military or Emergency Services

An excellent way to be active and have a meaningful and fulfilling career is to serve in the military or emergency services. Both institutions put a great deal of emphasis on physical fitness. You cannot enter these careers without passing certain physical tests. You will also be encouraged to maintain your physical activity throughout your working life in jobs like these. Also, you will have the benefit of knowing that you are helping others. But remember, there are risks as well as accolades to be had in these careers, and you need to weigh your decision before taking the plunge.

4. Become a Physical Therapist

We love helping people here at CCG and if you do too and you love being athletic, this might be the perfect role for you to investigate. A Physical Therapist provides therapy to patients by assisting in the assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation. How rewarding would it feel to be part of a person’s recovery and be able to help them wake up without pain?

5. Use Your Creativity as a Florist

If you love to create and you can’t leave the store without buying flowers for your home and office, you may want to investigate becoming a florist. A florist will design and create arrangements of flowers for weddings and parties. Sometimes florists will design entire areas and rooms. So, this is definitely a job where you have to be on your feet and ready to move when the inspiration hits you.

What about a plan B?

I know you don’t want to think about it, but what if the worst happens and you sustain a long-term injury? Would you still be able to work then? If not, what will you do? It’s always good to have a plan B. It could be that if you are playing professional sports, you could move to a coaching role. Or if you are serving with the emergency service, you may be able to get a more desk-orientated job. But it is worth considering, will you be happy doing these alternatives and if not have a plan in place in case the worst happens?
