Holiday Giveaway for the Classy Career Girl!!

Holiday Giveaway for the Classy Career Girl!!

Merry Christmas!  I hope you are enjoying a fabulous and relaxing day with your loved ones! Today’s Holiday giveaway for the classy career girl is a single strand bangle made from aluminum war scrap metal during the Vietnam conflict which left Laos the most heavily bombed country per capita in history. You can learn more about the peaceBOMB project here.

There are three reasons why I love this bracelet:

  1. This bracelet presents an opportunity for women to become active contributors to the economic well being of their families.
  2. My jewelry style for work is simple and classy.  This bracelet fits!
  3. I love this story of war and peace. Destruction and reconstruction. 30% of the bombs dropped did not detonate. At the current rate of removal, it will take an estimated 800 years to clear the unexploded bombs. The people of Laos are overcoming loss and challenge and melting the remains into beautiful jewelry such as this.

Want to win this classy bangle AND make a difference?

Leave a comment below with your email address. This giveaway is open to all residents of the US and Canada. It begins NOW and ends on Dec 31st at 9pm PST. The winner will be selected via random draw, and will be notified by e-mail.  You have 24 hours to get back to me, otherwise a new winner will be selected.

Good luck! For more information, make sure you check out their Facebook page here.

What a great cause! I’d love to give this to my daughter (she’s 16). Inspiring to see resilience in others and what people will do to improve their circumstances. Really gives you something to think about, doesn’t it?

This is a very pretty bracelet and also fits my classy career look :-) That sounds horribly dangerous that there are so many unignited bombs remaining. It is nice that they are turning them into something beautiful.
