Why Gardening is Good for Your Health [INFOGRAPHIC]
While taking care of your career and making sure that you are both professionally and personally fulfilled, it’s still important to look after yourself. We have gotten in touch with the people at WhatShed to show you just how good gardening can be.
“Gardening?” is no doubt what you are thinking, but gardening is great for the mind, body, and soul and this infographic shows you why.
Taking care of yourself is very important if you want a long and successful career. Gardening has many health benefits. For example, people who get out in their garden and grow their own food, tend to their own plants and in general, just potter around, have a far less chance of developing health issues related to the heart and suffering from a stroke.

Gardening is also a great way to take your mind of things and destress after a hard day’s work. Those who garden have far lower stress levels than those who do not. This is because when you are tending to plants or taking care of food, you are in your own little world. Taking care of our mental health is something far too few of us do, but gardening is a fun and productive way that you can do this. It is one thing to work hard, but you also need to look after yourself and gardening is an awesome way for you to do that.
Keeping in shape is always a struggle when you are focusing on your career, but it is much easier to do if you are a keen gardener. Gardening actually burns a lot of calories. Just a couple of hours in the garden is the same as working out hard in the gym for an hour. The main difference is it’s way more fun, and at the end of it you will feel de-stressed, have some lovely plants to look at, and maybe even some tasty and organic food to eat.
