Introduction to Career Wear Designer Nora Gardner
Designed around the belief that women don’t need to wear traditional bulky suits to look professional, Nora Gardner has strived to create “the new standard for women’s workwear.”
She believes that success is directly related to confidence, and her line includes flattering dresses and skirt suits to help women look and feel their best for any business meeting.

A Career Wear Line Designed to Help Professional Women Do It All

Her chic and sophisticated career wear collection features working-wardrobe must-haves and lifesavers, such as dresses with sleeves and pockets that are machine washable and flatter every body type.
One hundred percent made in the USA, her garments are incredibly well constructed, and the fabric is substantial, forgiving, and wrinkle resistant, making working women’s hectic lives simpler.

Nora’s Story

A few years ago, Nora Gardner never thought she would become an NYC fashion designer with a custom line designed exclusively for working women just like her.

In 2010, Nora was an investment banking analyst at a top Wall Street firm – a job she had worked her whole life to obtain. She had gone to the right schools, taken the right courses, excelled in extra-curricular, scored the right internships, and yet, she still felt that something was missing.

Although she had begun a prosperous career, she couldn’t shake the feeling of needing to create something and help people. At first, she didn’t know what she was going to do exactly, but she did know that her life was going to take a very surprising and meaningful turn.

Knowing that she was wrestling with her career path, one of her mentors asked her,

“If you had all the time and all the money in the world, what would you do? Once you figure that out, you will know what to do.”

His words resonated with her and she took his encouragement to heart. What did she love to do? (1) Draw and design; (2) Help other women have fulfilling careers and balanced lives; and (3) Crunch numbers and solve problems. Her mission was clear – she would start a clothing line to help working women do it all.

Nora deeply believes that with the right tools and opportunities, women more easily can have balanced and healthy lives, careers they love, and also be supportive and present parents. For the first time in her adult life, she truly felt passionate about an idea and knew it was time to dive in.

Nora founded Nora Gardner NYC in 2013, and the rest is history.
