Etiquette: Holiday Office Gifts

[Update] This is post pretty old, check our updated office gift ideas!

Thanks to all of you for stopping by during the Work Holiday Gift Poll and sharing what you give to your boss and co-workers for Christmas gifts. I learned from you all that all companies are different and gift giving really depends on your corporate culture.  I usually run out of time and forget to give gifts and cards to my co-workers but this year I am going to make a point to plan ahead and pass them out to everyone I work with!  I hope you are getting an early start to your holiday shopping and card writing as well.

Etiquette: Holiday Office Gifts

Here are some great office gift ideas just in time for Black Friday shopping!

Holiday Office Gifts
1) Jar of Granola.  I made homemade granola one year and it was a hit! It took a little time to make but it was definitely well worth the effort.
2) Starbucks Gift Card.  Who doesn’t want a peppermint mocha this time of year?
3) Homemade Christmas cookies!
4) A Coffee Mug- Who doesn’t need more caffeine?
5) Can’t go wrong with Godiva chocolate!  It’s the gift that you will probably get a taste of when your co-workers open the chocolates in the office!
6) Christmas cards – Why not write a quick note to thank your employees or co-workers for their efforts over the past year?
7) Kill office germs with hand soap?  Why not!
8) A bamboo plant to freshen up the office.
9) We could all use a bottle of wine to enjoy after work, right?
10) How many books are on your book shelf?  Why not give your favorites to your co-workers?  If you thought they were great, there is a good chance that those working with you will also.  And it gives you something to talk about!
11) Always be ready for that networking opportunity with this cute business card holder featuring the art of German designer Iris Interthal!
12) A great gift for a note taker like me!  I don’t leave home without a note pad!  I love this fun one by See Jane Work.
13) Be green and use a reusable water bottle instead of wasting a plastic bottle everyday.  Start the trend in your office with these super cute Jonathan Adler Beverage Bottle for the Eco-Friendly Office.
14) Do you have a boring black mouse pad like me?  Yuck.  Time to spice up the office atmosphere with this adorable Thomas Paul Red Flowers Mouse Pad Notepad!  We all need a few more reasons to smile in the office right?
15) Always losing pens like me?  Why not give the gift of a cute pen holder like this Vinea Pencil Cup by See Jane Work? (Only $8!!)
16) A magazine is a great, affordable gift that keeps giving every month throughout the year.  (Just in case you were going to get me a magazine subscription, my favorites right now are Real Simple, Marie Claire and Glamour).
Happy Holiday Shopping!!  What are your favorite office gift ideas?
