Staying Motivated When You’re Completely Exhausted
Ladies! Let’s be honest.  We work really really hard 24/7. We keep going despite being utterly exhausted because we know that it will pay off in the future. “In the future” is the key phrase I want you to remember. Sometimes we feel as if our hard work will never pay off. When I’m discouraged or weary, I think of Matthew 7:7, “Keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for.  Keep on seeking and you will find.  Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.” The phrase, “When one door closes another will open,” is actually pulled from this exact verse. Very cool!

How To Stay Motivated When You Are Completely Exhausted

1. Keep Asking and You Will Receive What You Ask For

Alright now, let’s pick this apart a little, shall we? The first sentence, “keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for” is pretty self-explanatory. However, I want to warn you that this is powerful stuff.  It works, trust me.  So when it says keep asking, you have to 1) be relentless with your dream and 2) make sure you are very detailed about what it is you’re asking for.  For example, you may pray about starting your own business, or that you want to pay down your loans.  You could easily start your own business, but it might not be the way you want it or with all the resources you need.  You might end up paying off one loan but you have three other student loans that need attention too.  See God will answer if you ask, seek or knock but you want to be exact.

2. Keep Seeking and You Will Find It

The next segment, “Keep on seeking and you will find” is another self-explanatory section but again we have to be careful.  This is the one that can get you (it has for me) in trouble.  Has there ever been a time in your life when you felt like someone was out to get you? Maybe a co-worker is trying to put you down so they can get ahead? If that’s what you seek, you will most likely find what you’re looking for.  Now, what would you do with that?  It won’t do anything but bring you down.  My suggestion here is to be cautious when seeking.

3. Keep on Knocking and The Door Will Open

Last but not least, this is my favorite part, “Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.” The fact that someone thought to turn this into a very well-known phrase makes me happy.  The meaning behind the symbol of a door can be good…or bad. You may be open and ready to receive and serve, or you may be closed and won’t let others in.  The same goes for other people in our lives.  Again, this verse carries a lot of meaning.
I encourage you to dig deeper into this verse or whatever it is in life you are believing for. Just keep on knocking!  That door will open.
