I did everything I thought I was supposed to do. I did everything I thought I was supposed to do. Got the degree. Built the career. Earned the salary. On paper, I was successful. Becoming a mom changed what I wanted from my caree Becoming a mom changed what I wanted from my career. It didn’t make me less ambitious. I still wanted meaningful work. I still wanted to make great money. I still wanted to grow and make an impact. I just wanted something else too: More control over my time. I wanted work that could grow around my family instead of constantly asking my family to grow around my work. That’s one of the reasons I love career coaching so much.
