I did everything I thought I was supposed to do. I did everything I thought I was supposed to do. Got the degree. Built the career. Earned the salary. On paper, I was successful. Becoming a mom changed what I wanted from my caree Becoming a mom changed what I wanted from my career. It didn’t make me less ambitious. I still wanted meaningful work.
