How I Found My Calling

My life wasn’t always happy and my career hasn’t always been good. I had a lot of stress and overwhelm in my corporate consulting job. I dreaded Mondays…

My dream was…

…to be a happy working mama someday. By 2012 I was starting to gain some confidence because the little blog that I started in 2010 was starting to gain a little bit of website traffic and press requests. I was starting to get confidence and clarity.

I knew I had more potential and more purpose in my life than sitting in a cubicle all day crunching numbers. I just couldn’t find the time to make a change and we were drowning in debt.

I literally worked from sun up to sun down. I felt like there was no way out. Sometimes I would just go to my car and cry during my lunch break. I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up and the stress of doing other people’s jobs was affecting my health.

That’s when I hit rock bottom.

…and created a new plan for my life. I went on a journey to discover more of myself and what career fulfillment was for me. I wasn’t going back to my old way of life. I made a decision to make a change and keep moving forward.

My life really turned around over the next year. I got really serious on what my vision was and what my ideal career was and I created a 90-day plan to make it happen.

That next year was amazing.

We had our first daughter in 2014. I also finally got clear and focused on what my ideal career was and committed to it, which led to my business taking off and being able to quit my day job just 6 weeks after maternity leave started.

I actually built up my business on the side of my day job so that three weeks after I quit, I was flown with my husband and daughter to Brazil for my first international speaking event. I never even dreamed that would be a reality but it was.

I continued to create coaching programs and work individually with clients and in 2019, all of my programs were consolidated into my Corporate Rescue Plan Membership and since then, I’ve been able to help hundreds of women make more money doing work they love.

My dreams were coming true.

I just wanted to be that happy, working mama. My dream was so simple and that’s me today. We had two more daughters and I love to have the freedom and flexibility to hang out with my daughters whenever I want.

I also have work I absolutely love. I get to help women launch their dream careers and businesses and that makes me so happy that I get to help impact other women every single day.

I am so grateful that after 10 years of Career Coaching, I now get to transfer my knowledge and experience to other Career Coaches through my Certified Career Coach program. It’s truly a dream job and I can’t wait to continue helping women around the world make their dreams happen.

(rapid fire style!)

What do you do in your free time?

When I’m not working, you can find me driving my kids around or pushing a kid on a swing at a park. I love traveling and exploring new towns and places with my family as well as reading and listening to audiobooks. You can find me homeschooling my girls in the morning and listening to my latest audiobook while walking around the neighborhood in the afternoons.

Share 3 fun facts about yourself.

1. I can’t get enough sour gummy worms.

2. I’ve got way too many unread books on my bookshelf that I swear I am going to start this weekend.

3. I’m a wife to John and Pinterest loving mom trying to find balance and enjoy a hot cup of coffee…

Where are you from?

I grew up in Minnesota where I could be found near a lake in the summer or near an ice arena in the winter.

Where are you now?

After 20 years living in San Diego, meeting my husband there, having our three kids and planning to never leave the sunshine, we decided to make a big change to work, homeschool, and travel around Europe. It was a dream year and we now have made our way back to Florida and love it here.
