Today I want to talk about something I wish I would have known sooner when I was building my business. Many of you might think that since I have my MBA, that’s how I knew how to start and grow a business. I would say you are correct if you are talking about a different type of business. The truth is, going to business school didn’t really help me make a plan to launch the type of business that I wanted to launch. I wanted to launch a serviced based consulting business, not a high-tech business that required a lot of venture funding to start.
The One Thing You Need To Quickly Grow Your Business
In business school, we had to do these humongous business plans that were over 50 pages long. Of course, I always got stuck being the editor and the person making it perfect at the very end right before we submitted it…
These humongous plans scared me away from doing a plan for my business when I started. The first couple of years I didn’t have a plan. I was stressed trying a million different things and very confused. I googled “business plan template” and tried to find something online that fit my type of business. I wanted a plan geared towards a service-based small business run mostly online.
I couldn’t find a template. You’ll never guess what I did next.
I created my own business plan template that worked amazing for me. Over the last three years I have been improving it and handing it out to my clients to use it to start and scale their businesses too. It is so nice when you have a business plan. When my clients complete this plan and send it to me, they are so much less stressed! They have a plan in place. They know what they are supposed to do every single day rather than post this on Facebook and this on Pinterest….and get nowhere.
Having a business plan will help you become so much more confident and give you so much clarity. I highly recommend it.
Here’s the best part. Our business plan template is only $7 for a limited time. It will help you out so much if you are just starting your business or growing a business already but looking for more structure. If it doesn’t work, just tell us within 30 days and will give you your money back. We are so confident in this plan and we think you’ll love it.
Our Corporate Rescue Plan Business Plan Template Bootcamp is broken down into 5 different segments. I call them the five P’s of a Profitable Business.
Part 1: Purpose
The first step is to uncover what the purpose for your new business is and how it matches your own personal purpose. We want to make sure your business is something you love and are passionate about and isn’t something that will be just another “job” later.
Part 2: People
This step in your business plan is all about uncovering the right people you need to have on your team and in your support community. It’s also about making sure we take care of YOU, Ms. CEO.
Part 3: Product
This is where you determine what you are going to sell, what the market wants and how you can package up your service or program or product so that your ideal clients want and need it. This is where you put together your launch strategy. You figure out how to create your offer and what you should offer.
Part 4: Promotion
This can be overwhelming. You don’t have to do everything or be everywhere but just need a solid authentic sharing plan (which is what I call it) just for you. You have to focus in on the promotional tasks that will increase your profits and focus as much time on those revenue generating tasks. Then you have to spend less time on those tasks that aren’t bringing revenue in.
Part 5: Profit
There’s no reason to be scared to talk about the cash! When you make the leap, you must know how many clients you need and how many people you need to talk to and how many people needed to see my promotions. It’s just a numbers game and not a complicated scary thing!
BONUS: We’ll also give you access to two bonus audios of me coaching my clients to create their business plan. I think it’s going to help you so much to hear these success stories of women just like you who have gone on to complete and submit their business plan. If they can do it, you can too!
