What does it actually take to run a business while What does it actually take to run a business while traveling Europe for a year with three kids?

In Part 2 of my Behind the Business series, I’m sharing what life really looked like behind the beautiful photos—from homeschooling in tiny apartments and carrying groceries through London to missed flights, unexpected hospital visits, and some of our favorite adventures across Europe.

But I’m also answering one of the biggest questions I get:

What happened to the business while we were gone?

Comment PODCAST and I will send you the episode of the Classy Career Girl Podcast!
Before I became a mom, I thought success meant mov Before I became a mom, I thought success meant moving **up.**

Better title.
Bigger salary.
More responsibility.
The next promotion.

Then I became a mom, and my definition of success completely changed.

I was still ambitious.

I still wanted meaningful work.

I still wanted to make great money.

But suddenly, I wanted something even more:

**Freedom.**

Freedom to control my schedule.

Freedom to be there for the moments that mattered.

Freedom to build my work around my family instead of constantly building my family around my work.

Motherhood didn’t make me less ambitious.

**It made me more intentional about what I was ambitious for.** 🤍

Today, I’ll choose freedom over another title every single time.

Has your definition of success changed as you’ve gotten older?
Nobody warns you that sometimes the dream changes. Nobody warns you that sometimes the dream changes.

You can spend years working toward the career you thought you wanted.

Get the degree.
Build the résumé.
Earn the promotion.
Reach the salary goal.

And then one day realize...

**I don’t want this anymore.**

That realization can feel terrifying because you’ve invested so much into becoming this version of yourself.

But changing your mind doesn’t erase everything you’ve accomplished.

You aren’t starting over.

You’re taking your experience, skills, wisdom, and everything you’ve learned with you into whatever comes next.

Sometimes outgrowing an old dream is exactly what makes room for a better one.

**That’s not failure. That’s growth. 🤍**

Have you ever realized the dream you worked so hard for wasn’t your dream anymore?

I was successful on paper. Good career. Good sala I was successful on paper.

Good career.
Good salary.
Good education.

I had done everything I thought I was *supposed* to do.

So why did Sunday night still come with that pit in my stomach?

For a long time, I thought I should just be grateful.

But eventually I realized something:

**Success and fulfillment aren’t the same thing.**

You can be really good at a career you’ve outgrown.

You can achieve the goal and realize it isn’t the life you want anymore.

And you don’t have to wait until everything falls apart to make a change.

Sometimes that quiet feeling of *there has to be something more than this* is worth listening to.

It was for me.

Have you ever achieved something you thought you wanted...only to realize you wanted something different?
Maybe having it all was never about **doing it all Maybe having it all was never about **doing it all.**

I used to think success meant fitting everything in.

The career.
The business.
The family.
The goals.
The perfectly organized life.

But the older I get, the less interested I am in doing everything—and the more interested I am in having the **freedom to choose what matters most.**

Some days that’s growing the business.

Some days it’s teaching my kids.

Some days it’s putting the laptop away and being fully present with my family.

That’s what “having it all” means to me now.

Not doing everything.

Having the freedom to build your life around what matters most.

What does *having it all* mean to you?
Your to-do list shouldn’t make you feel MORE overw Your to-do list shouldn’t make you feel MORE overwhelmed.

When you’re juggling work, kids, appointments, meals, activities and everything else that somehow ends up on your plate… you need a simple way to see what actually matters today.

That’s why I created my Daily To-Do List Template.
It helps you:
✨ Get everything out of your head
✨ Decide what actually needs to happen today
✨ Focus on your biggest priorities
✨ Stop carrying your entire life around in your brain

Because productivity isn’t about doing more.
It’s about knowing what matters—and giving yourself permission to let the rest wait.

You don’t need more time. You need to decide what You don’t need more time. You need to decide what your time is FOR.
For years, I thought the answer was figuring out how to fit more into my week.
More work.
More content.
More calls.
More productivity.
But the goal isn’t to create the most productive week possible.
It’s to create a week that actually reflects your priorities.
For me, that means building my business around my family not fitting my family around my business.
So before I fill my calendar, I map out my Perfect Week.
✨ Family time
✨ Homeschool
✨ Workouts
✨ Focused CEO time
✨ Client calls
✨ Rest
✨ The things I actually want my life to include
And then I decide where work fits.
Because your calendar should reflect the life you’re trying to create.
