This is how I recently stepped out of my comfort zone:

Whilst dancing, I set my intention. To say goodbye to old habits, daily boring routines, and thought patterns that kept me in my comfort zone.

Then, I imagined being on a steam boat sailing away, while leaving behind all those things. I even waved goodbye with my white handkerchief!

I just left my full time job but after I left I heard there were many changes happening at the school. Not everyone is happy with it though...

“What got you here won’t get you there.” - this is really true.

I've always worn my hair in a clean low-bun for the most professional look. I'm in a male-dominated field (engineering) so I think the low-bun is the best way to go.

Great advice here! I just successfully negotiated a higher salary and I was surprised at how easy it was when I knew what I was worth. They accepted my conditions, and I love my job. Women should always know their worth and remember that everything is negotiable!

I kill them with kindness. It's amazing to see how simple manners and a kind hearted gesture can change an individual's temperament. I also get them talking about things that interest them. Expressing an interest in something that is important to them lessens the hassle and cuts back on the attitude. It's never appropriate to be disrespected. It is however, important to know when to pick and choose your battles.

So long as your hair is neat and clean, any style will work. However, I do prefer down, blow dried straight. However, curled at the bottom would work as well.

I love this post! I went to a career fair last night which are basically just little interviews. I was amazed at how many students were unaware of that. More than one of them were "looking for jobs" but couldn't tell me what they wanted to do with their degrees. Granted, my job position has evolved and changed over the year, but I always knew general things - like I wanted to be involved in the public. So much of what an employer will remember of you happens in those first few seconds - and being prepared for any kind of interview leaves the employer feeling good about what you might bring to a company.
