How To Create an Annual Plan For Your Business
I wanted to do this topic because I love getting the behind-the-scenes of what other entrepreneurs are doing and what actions they are taking. I wanted to talk about our business here and how we go about creating our annual plan. I want to walk you through that process because when I was starting seven years ago, I had no idea how to create an annual business plan and I had a new idea every month. I was all over the place. So let’s get you a little bit more focused.

If you are wondering how we plan out our annual launches and emails, etc. this is it!

How To Create an Annual Plan For Your Business

Everything we are doing is well planned out these days. We plan out before the start of the year. We did our plan for 2017 way back in September 2016, that’s why in January, we had a lot of great launches and workshops happening here because we were so far ahead in our planning process.
Make sure you grab our free planner at www.classycareergirl.com/freeplan because that is the foundation of everything we do when it comes to creating your annual plan. The page we are talking about today is the annual plan page.

Step 1: Identify your priorities.

Only pick three things you really want to get done for your business. Come up with three big goals you want to make happen this year. Also, have a deadline when you want to complete them by as well.
Our three 2017 big goals:
1. 1 million page views per month by June 30th, 2017.
2. Delegate everything that I don’t like doing or shouldn’t be doing by December 31st, 2017.
3. Attract 2,500 paying members to Corporate Rescue Plan and Love Your Career Formula by December 31st, 2017.
A note about financial goals in your annual plan. I love counting people over money. I just opened an email from another online marketer and his goal is all about making money. Whenever I set goals for making a certain amount of money, I am not passionate about it and it never works. But, when I think about 2,500 people and lives that are changed because of our membership sites, now THAT gets me excited.

Step 2: Put your priorities into quarters.

We have quarters 1-4 on the planner sheet. Write your focus for each quarter. For instance, quarter one includes a Corporate Rescue Plan launch. After that, some things I am focusing on are a podcast rebrand, updating old posts on this blog for SEO, and pin images. I want to run a half-marathon in Q1 so health and exercise are important. As well as planning for our April re-launch of Love Your Career Formula.

Step 3: Set aside next year’s goals

On the bottom is the next year’s annual plan focus on everything I really want to do but it isn’t a priority for this year. It’s still there. I have a list for next year already but I have to put it on the back burner. I can’t focus on it too much right now or I’ll get overwhelmed and unfocused.
Hope this helps you all!
