- 7 years ago, I decided I wanted to get my MBA. I took the GMAT without studying, failed miserably and decided to put my business school dreams on hold for more life and career experiences.
- 4 years ago, I studied for the GMAT, took the test and did much better! I applied to and was accepted at the Rady School of Management.
- 2.5 years ago, I kissed my social life good-bye and started my business school journey while still continuing to work full time. By the middle of first quarter, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to make it through.
- TODAY, I will take part in the Inaugural FlexEvening MBA Commencement from the Rady School of Management.
As you can see, this has been a very long process for me which makes this day so amazing. Thanks to my family, friends and co-workers for their inspiration, friendship, encouragement, patience and support. Special thanks to my parents for showing me the value of education and hard work and to my husband for helping me stay calm while under pressure. I have made friends for life and I have become a different and more confident person. I have discovered my passions and have expanded my network and relationships. Getting my MBA was one of the best and most challenging things that I could have done at this stage in my life and I am so happy that I did it.

Congratulations Classy! I walked that path about 10 years ago and was handed that diploma. From a career perspective, it was one of my best decisions. Good for you!

Congrats
Will you carry on blogging? Would be a shame to end it all, especially if you're in the writing habit already. For many jobs/companies, writing anything that could be linked with the workplace is frowned upon. But I'm sure there's a sensible way to carry on in some form.
yay!!! congrats friend!!
